Labor Day Weekend at the Lake

Shawn and I went up to Deer Lake to spend part of the weekend there with our friend's Ryan and Ashley. The weather wasn't too warm, which meant for some really cool water. Shawn and Ryan both braved the water anyway and decided to surf. We played around in the boat for a bit, sat around outside, then had some super delicious burgers Shawn barbecued for dinner.

We all brought our bikes up to the lake as well, so after dinner we went for a bike ride. It was really cool because we did the bike ride at sunset and it was a clear night. The sky was really pink and purple over the lake. Just plain beautiful.

We all spent the night up at the lake, and the next day was even cooler than the day before. It was really weird because in the afternoon we watched this crazy storm blow in. It was moving so slow, that we just sat outside and just watched it move toward us. In this photo you can actually see that half the sky is sunny, and half is dark and rainy. Weird.

It looks like a storm rolling into Texas. Looks like you had fun anyway. Maybe the next time you come back we will have some sort of watercraft or at least rent one.
